Lone Pine Ukrainian Family Aid

John Namkung recently returned from volunteering in Poland and Ukraine, where he helped transport families from the Polish/Ukrainian border to cities in Poland. His next project is to sponsor a Ukrainian family to come and live in Sonoma County, California, for up to two years under the Uniting for Ukraine program. The three-generation family of females consists of a mother, mother-in-law, two daughters ages 8 and 13, and a dog (who is also female). Neighbors in the Lone Pine Village area of Sebastopol have formed a group to support this family.

 

As a support group, they will responsible for the family in areas such as housing, food, transportation, medical care, education, child care, employment, etc. We are enlisting your financial support to make the family's dream a reality. Our long range goal to support the family for two years is $144,000. However, our short term goal is to raise $45,000 so that the family can come to the US without further delays.

 

All donations will be sent to Type of Wood Charities, a registered nonprofit 503(c)(3), and are tax deductible. Type of Wood, in turn, will transfer the funds to the Lone Pine Ukrainian Family Aid program.

 

As a donor, you will receive an email from GoFundMe acknowledging your donation. You will be given a choice to opt out of all future emails from GoFundMe. If you want to receive updates on the sponsorship of the family and how the campaign is going, please do not check the box to opt out.

If we are unable to meet our fundraising goal to sponsor a Ukrainian family and they don't arrive, you will be given the option of receiving a full refund of your donation or allowing the funds to be used for another designated purpose to help Ukrainians.
