London Marathon 2020 for NDCS
Tax deductible
In 2017, my then 9 year old sister Erin was diagnosed as severely deaf in her left ear and would require a hearing aid for the rest of her life. This was completely unexpected but with the help and support of our local audiology department and The National Deaf Children's Society, Erin was able to adjust to life with a hearing aid. Erin and my Mum attend a meeting with the local branch of The National Deaf Children's society and found it hugely helpful in the weeks and months that followed her diagnosis.
The National Deaf Children's society isn't as widely known as many other charities but the work they do is no less important and I feel the help they've given my family has been priceless.
After completing my most recent half marathon in May 2019, I decided the next challenge had to be bigger and involve more miles so what could be bigger than the London Marathon and running for the National Deaf Children's society was the icing on the cake.
This is where I need your support. In order to run for them I am aiming to raise £1800 and this 'Go Fund Me' page is just the start of the fundraising that will take place over the next ten months.
Anything that you would be willing to give, no matter how big or small or even a share on social media to help me get the word out would be a massive help in reaching my goal of supporting the National Deaf Children's society in this way.
Thank you VERY much, Olivia (and Erin) xxx
