Lolly Pop has Blastomycosis

Tax deductible
Hi, my name is Lolly. I hope you’ll read my story and consider donating to the rescue who saved my life.
You see, while I’m still a young dog at only 4 years old, I’ve had quite a roller coaster of a life.
I grew up in Kentucky and unfortunately found myself in a shelter without any family. After a while, I took a long car ride to New York and got to live in a house with my foster parents and dog friends. It was nice there and I loved snuggling up with my people, but my Kentucky troubles still had a hold of me.
Two of my paws were infected and despite multiple trips to the vet and various, expensive medications, they were still getting bigger and more painful.
Again, my troubles didn’t end there. I found myself without an appetite and lacking my usual zest for life (it’s a little embarrassing but I just love chasing my tail when I’m feeling good). Then I started struggling to breathe.
My foster parents rushed me to the emergency vet. We were all scared. They kissed me goodbye and wished me well and then I was taken in by a nice team of veterinarians who gave me oxygen to help me breathe and took images to determine the problem. As it turns out, I have Blastomycosis, which is a fancy sounding name for fungus in my lungs. And, yes, it’s as awful as it sounds.
I’m happy to report that after several days at the doggy hospital I am back home with my foster family and feeling SO much better. I’m breathing easier and my paws are much improved. There’s just one last problem. I left the rescue with a hefty medical bill, one that put them back about $7,000.00 I’ve been told that I’m worth every penny, but I would still love if you could help them out with some donations. I just want to make sure they have enough funds to help the next dog in need.
Wags and kisses,
Lollipop
