Help us open LOLA’S CLOSET, a non-profit community project.
By opening Lola's Closet we will be able to help MULTIPLE programs at once. Your help is needed.
Over the years our family has sometimes spread- ourselves-thin volunteering and working with many community outreach programs. Our vision developed over time and became more focused to do what we know best: collect donations, organize, sell, teach and provide a social atmosphere.
Lola’s Closet will operate as a Modern-Day Charity Shop receiving gently used items for resale to the public. Lola’s Closet will also design and sell one of a kind upcycled clothing, accessories and home décor as well as teach classes on upcycling. repurposing, going green, etc.
Our Main Mission is to help raise funds to support MULTIPLE non-profit charities. Through our donors, volunteers and customers, we will help support existing organizations and missions with their own causes that work directly with individuals to include:
-cancer victims
-substance abuse sufferers
-veterans-in-transition
-mental health sufferers
-senior citizens and others.
We have seen all these first-hand in our own family and that is why we are committed to help others.
We will work with area churches, civic organizations and other non-profits to identify and help fund specific needs.
Lola’s Closet is planning to open in NW Charlotte, NC next spring and will be run strictly with volunteers. But don't wait, we need donations now.
We recently signed a rental agreement for the building ** AND ** although we have our IRS 501(c)3 non-profit status approval we are still not ready to roll. Not yet.
We are asking you for help. Before we can fill it with donated items, we need to raise funds to make the building pass safety regulations – we need new electric panel, roof repair, gutter replacement, bathroom fixes etc., all very important. Then onto an old-fashioned “barn-raising” - we can paint, build shelves, and do other start-up preparations.
Our goal is to raise $35,000 for repairs and renovation. Please give generously, all donations are tax-deductible, IRS EIN 82-2607740.
