Urgent Update:

We had to return to the vet today because Loki still isn’t eating or having bowel movements, and he continues to lose weight. I am absolutely devastated.

At this point, we’re facing an impossible and time-sensitive decision:

The next step medically is X-rays to determine whether there’s an obstruction or another serious internal issue. But if the X-rays show that he needs surgery, we simply cannot afford it without immediate help.

The alternative we’re being forced to consider is humane euthanasia, NOT because we want to, but because of finances, and even that is something we would struggle to afford right now.

We are a single income household due to my physical disabilities. We were just floating before this happened, and now we are genuinely trying not to sink. I’ve been applying to work-from-home jobs since November with no success yet, and every option for financing or assistance has been denied.

BUT Loki is still fighting. He’s not giving up, and I’m not ready to give up on him either. But without help, we may lose him simply because we can’t afford to find out what’s wrong or treat it.
