This is my sweet baby, Loki. I’ve had him since he was a baby and on March 13th he’ll be 4 years old. For most of his life (the last 3 years) Loki has been struggling with some health issues. His biggest symptom has been chronic vomiting, but he has also had diarrhea, blood in his stool, high WBC count and lethargy. I’ve taken him to 4 different vets, including an internal specialist. He has been put on antibiotics, steroids, special food diets, anti-nausea meds, probiotics, etc. Sadly, even after all of that he is still having issues with the vomiting and discomfort. At the most recent vet visit we did an ultrasound, which showed thickening of his intestinal walls and swollen stomach nodes. Ultimately this means it is either Irritable bowel disease or cancer and the only way to differentiate between the two, would be through a surgical biopsy, which costs more than what I have at the moment. This has been an incredibly heartbreaking journey that I just want some answers for. If it is cancer, I want to give Loki the chance to fight through chemo and if it’s IBD, I will proceed with all the necessary diet changes and medications to ensure his health and comfort are in a good spot. I’m embarrassed to ask for financial help, but I will do anything for my sweet boy. Please don’t feel obligated, but if you’re able and willing to help, Loki and I would be forever grateful. Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read and share our story and for donating. It means more than I could ever put into words.
