Lois’ Recovery Fund

Lois, beloved superhero horse-dog, suffered a terrible injury this past weekend after being hit by an 18-wheeler in front of her home. After eyeing and chasing a squirrel from her backyard, Lois inadvertently ran toward the road, where she was hit by an unsuspecting truck driver. While we are all relieved that she was able to make it back to her home and, ultimately, to the vet where she received urgent medical care, her accident has left her with significant injuries. She suffered a broken foot and was left with major wounds to her head. Lois has spent the last few days in veterinary care as they continue to monitor her state and evaluate her injuries. Unfortunately, her medical care might literally cost an arm and a leg if she is unable to receive surgery to repair her foot, leaving her at risk of amputation. Expenses at this point are approximately $4,500 (I do not have access to a breakdown, but this is what was relayed from the doctors). That does not include the additional $4,500 price tag on the surgery. Myles and Haley are wonderful pet owners who enjoy nothing more than spending time with their two loving dogs. They are first to lend a hand when pets of friends and family are in need, as I have witnessed firsthand with my own dog. Please consider helping them out if you can. Anything at all is appreciated.
