Konnichiwa (hello),
My name is Logan, I am 13 years old. My family has hosted Moto and Yuta from Japan through States’ 4-H Exchange Program between Japan LABO and Florida 4-H for the last two summers. I have learned a little about Japanese culture from them, but now want to go to Japan to learn more. My trip will be organized through States’ 4-H International Exchange with partners Florida 4-H Youth Program and Japan LABO Program.

I have been a 4-H member for 9 years. As a 4-H member I have placed as Florida Junior Poultry Champion (2016), 2nd Place Florida Marine Ecology (2017) Junior, and First Place Florida Horticulture team member (2018) among other achievements.
To prepare for my trip, I have been learning some Japanese both spoken and written. During the first 4 weeks of my journey, I will be studying Japanese language and culture in a classroom in Tokyo for four weeks. Then I will stay with a family in Japan for four weeks learning about how they live. I am so excited to learn more about their food, lifestyles and history. In the future, I hope to visit Japan as an adult.
The trip will cost me $7500 dollars to cover airfare, the Japanese school, and a hotel night at each end of the trip plus food and gifts that I will buy. I have to submit the first payment of $2,000 by December 1, 2018. Only being 13, it is hard for me to earn money, but I have been working for people I know doing odd jobs as much as I can. I have saved almost $300 so far but will never make the deadline in time without your help. Please donate now so I can secure my spot for the group of kids going summer 2019.
