This GoFundMe has been setup to raise money in the ongoing efforts to fight and contain the LodgePole Fire Complex that is raging in eastern Montana. The fire has currently burned more than 300,000 acres and was considered 20% contained, at best. Extreme drought, high temperatures, and shifting winds have contributed to this disaster, in spite of the best efforts of all those fighting to protect their land and livelihood. Entire ranches have been lost, with complete losses in grass pasture, hay storage, and livestock burned. Governor Steve Bullock recently declared a state of emergency which will allow additional resources to be used in fighting this massive inferno. However, even when the fire is contained, these folks will need much assistance.

~* Any and all of the funds raised in this account will be sent directly to assist the fire fighting efforts, and aid those affected by the LodgePole Complex Fires. There are several accounts setup for groceries and supplies needed for the firefighters, as well as accounts setup for the fuel expense which is substantial to keep these rigs operational. Keep in mind, many of the people fighting these fires are not professionals. They are ranchers themselves, standing shoulder to shoulder, in the face of danger and unfathomable loss, doing whatever they can to help their friends and neighbors.
