Fund Raiser for Patent Application

Greetings Friends/Family:

If you are receiving this message, know that you are considered my close friend/family, or you are a business colleague whom I regard highly.  I am not sharing this with the public.  The ONE thing that each of you have in common is if you were to send me a similar request or need my assistance, I would not hesitate to help in any way I could.

WHAT I NEED:
To get to the end point in the beginning, I am raising money to help meet my goal of filing my NON-Provisional Patent Application for my invention “No More Tender Heads”™ (NMTH) by the deadline of April 1, 2018.

In case you missed it, we filed a Provisional Patent Application in the US Patent & Trademark Office in April 2017.  The Provisional Application was filed to give us time to use the product and share it with others while protecting our intellectual property.  The Provisional Application is only good for one year.  The NON-Provisional is the “official” Application to secure the actual Patent for the product.

NMTH is an all-natural spray made with essential oils, distilled water and aloe vera gel.  It greatly relieves scalp soreness during hair manipulation.  It has made a majority of my “tender head” clients VERY happy!  We have also received praise from others who have purchased the product.  We hope this product will benefit people with curly hair all over the world!

WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MEANS TO ME:
Your support means EVERYTHING to me.  January 5, 2018 marked one year since I left Corporate America to pursue this entrepreneur venture full time.   We have accomplished a lot and have even more work to do this year.  In addition to filing the Provisional Patent Application, some of our other accomplishments include Trademarks in the US and Panama, providing employment opportunities for 5 women and mentoring several more; hosting events that serve our community; and our largest project for 2017 was the expansion of our home in Panama to include space for a Sisterlocks Salon.  The construction was completed and we have installed our first salon chair.  In November 2017,  we began training our first local hair stylist in Panama.

The reason I need your help is we have several deadlines approaching at once!  The main things I’ve learned since last year are, you need to borrow money when you don't NEED it and the other thing I’ve learned is FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS.

This year, our objectives are to hire 2 Consultants for the US location; incorporate the business in Panama; complete small salon renovations that will attract the highest quality consultants; continue to build the Panamanian location; patent, market and "use test" our product, NMTH, for large scale distribution; build on our Small Biz Coaching and  Speaking Engagements.

Please view the attached video for a "Bio in Photos" summary presentation of what we've accomplished since 2012.

THANK YOU for considering sowing a seed to help me meet this important goal!  Any amount, no matter how small, will help me reach my goal and make my heart REALLY happy.  If you can’t help at this time, I understand.  I just ask that if you are a praying man/woman to remember us in prayer as we go forth and WIN!  I will be the first person that I know (personally) to own a Patent!  We have SO many plans to execute this year and the upcoming year, I hope you will be a part of our journey.  YES WE CAN . . . AND WE WILL!!
