Lock City Glee Club

The Lock City Glee Club was formed as a community chorus in 1982, having been a corporate sponsored men’s chorus since 1965. The Glee Club performs around the area of Lockport, NY, named for it’s lifting locks on the Erie Canal - hence the nickname “Lock City”. Much in the manner of those locks lifting boat and cargo to travel further, the Glee Club tries to lift the spirit and enthusiasm of their audiences. The chorus makes a variety of performances each year, the largest of which is its annual Spring Sing show.

Membership is presently settled around twenty-or-so active men between the ages of 17 and 90. Members enjoy the harmonies of fellowship and fun along with music.

It is the desire of the Lock City Glee Club to become not only a strong performing ensemble dedicated to serving the community but also to become an organization that creates many opportunities for Niagara County: musically and in other ways. The Lock City Glee Club is very interested in supporting the community in any way we can, especially when it comes to supporting music in Niagara County. 

We are seeking funds to help offset our administrative costs, paying for rental space for rehersals and performances, as well as offsetting ticket costs for the community.
