Locals devastated by Murray Street arson

Donation protected
Last week a property on Murray Street was savagely attacked leaving a carport, three cars and a boat destroyed.

Many have seen the local news reports in which a couple have lost their boat and car, but what seems to have been left out is the heavy impact (financially and emotionally) this has had on some of the other residents involved.

Mainly a recently engaged couple by the names of Sidney Davies and Matthew Hasset. This gorgeous couple loved by the community have independently lived out of home for over two years and now have to put wedding plans on hold in order to replace 2 cars and find a new home.

Sadly the pair have been dealing with the trauma of waking up to a fire at 1am and spent the last week living with relatives/friends as their home has now been declared unliveable and is to be demolished.

While deliberate, these criminals have attacked at random with no connection to the residents and are still yet to be held accountable. If anyone has any footage or evidence in relation to this event that has violently disturbed everyone’s lives, we ask that you please come forward.

Finally as I’m sure you can sympathise with the challenges Sidney and Matt will face during todays economy and Warrnambool’s rental crisis, I ask on behalf of this beautiful, hardworking couple, that any donations that can be made would be appreciated to help them deal with this difficult time.
