Locally-sourced mass production of ventilators
About Ventila:
Ventila offers those currently without access to a ventilator the chance to survive.
Our goal is to mass-produce this open-hardware ventilator for use in our community. We also want to help others organize production in communities across the US and around the world.
A low-tech, inexpensive model, along with strong collaboration, has yielded promising results. Together, we can save lives.

Our Story:
We began as a group of concerned New Yorkers who felt a strong need to assist during this crisis. Ventila’s forces are quickly expanding, and we are grateful for assistance coming from across the country and beyond.
Today, we offer a wide range of collective experience in both high and low tech, engineering, production and project management. We have the people, materials, and facilities to manufacture 1,000 ventilators per week in Brooklyn and Jersey City.
We are ready and eager to help organize teams in other communities. We want to maximize ventilator production everywhere, and are able to adapt our ventilator to local resources.
You:
A growing number of individuals are donating their knowledge, time and workspaces in order to produce ventilators en masse. Currently, our primary need is raw materials, and funds with which to purchase them. This includes acrylic and other widely-accessible components required to produce ventilators suitable for hospital use. If you would like to donate materials directly, please email [email redacted].
