Local father facing deportation

Donation protected
Our local community member, Juan De La Cruz, has been told that he will be deported on July 6th, 2017. When he went to his annual ICE check-in, he was informed that he was being deported immediately.  The authorities reconsidered and are allowing him 30 days to get his affairs in order because of his financial responsibilities and young children. Juan and his family don’t have much time.  They need help hiring lawyers to counsel them and plead his case to the immigration authorities.

Many of you know Juan, his US-born wife Kirsten (of 8 years), their 2 US-born children (8 & 5), and 4 step-children (19, 18, 16, 13). Together, Juan and Kirsten own a house and a small farm called the De La Cruz Farm. The community enjoys fresh eggs, free range chicken meat, and lamb. Many people stop in at the solar farm in Vergennes to see their lambs.  Juan has a work authorization card and he has a full-time job. He has been employed at local businesses for the last 11 years.  Juan’s salary supplies their primary income and they cannot make ends meet without him.

Your donation will give this family a chance to stay together for they don’t have much time. Juan's hearing is less than 3 weeks away.
