Craig's Fight

Donation protected
While attending pharmacy school, Craig discovered he had a stage 2 astrocytoma (brain tumor) in his left temporal lobe. In March of 2007, Craig underwent surgery at MD Anderson to remove the tumor and had a minor stroke which caused him to have difficulty speaking.

In November 2009, Craig and his wife, Betsy, traveled to MD Anderson for 12 weeks of radiation to treat a remaining portion of the tumor that had shown changes.

For the next 5 years, Craig went for regular check-ups and had no signs of new growth or any changes! He graduated pharmacy school and was still the same fun-loving Craig we all knew and loved.

But, in November of 2014 at his yearly scan, his doctors noticed the first signs of regrowth.

He then flew to MD Anderson for an MRI about a month after the growth was first noticed and in that short amount of time, the tumor had tripled in size in the basal ganglia portion of his brain.

On January 7th, Craig suffered a hemorrhage stroke with 3 seizures in his home. He spent 3 days in ICU and 3 full weeks at St. Francis Hospital inpatient care. His right side is placid and he suffers from aphasia and apraxia.

It was critical that the blood dissipate from Craig's brain before they could discuss a treatment plan for the tumor. Craig came home from St. Francis on February 3rd and met with his neurosurgeon the very next day. This tumor is more invasive than the last and surgery isn't really an option. He will undergo radiation therapy here in Tulsa for an unknown length of time.

This precious family has enough burden of it's own, so my goal is to relieve one of those burdens by raising enough funds to cover Craig's extensive medical bills. Please donate as you feel led and continue to pray for Craig's full recovery.
