In Memory of Ruben Abrahante, Jr.

My name is Arthur P. Abrahante, Sr. I have created this page in memory of my nephew, Ruben Abrahante, Jr., who passed this morning at home with his mom Debbie and dad Ruben Sr. by his side. He was a wonderful son, brother and nephew to our family.
Ruben Jr. and his parents, brother, nieces and daughter have endured a parent's worst nightmare. Ruben had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that unfortunately was not properly diagnosed with sufficient time to give him a better chance of survival. At the time of his diagnosis (like all parents) his parents vowed to do everything possible to save his life. Throughout his battle, Ruben demonstrated monumental courage and won a few battles that allowed him to be us until today. Today, February 5, 2015 my nephew lost the war.
Unfortunately, the costs associated with this war have taken an immense toll on his parents in medical costs associated with loss of income because someone had to be present each minute of each day as they waited for the inevitable to take place. Well that inevitability took place this morning. During the process of caring and desperatly seeking out alternative means of treatment to find a cure, my brother and sister-in-law have depleted all of their savings and pensions and are left now with a shortfall needed for his final expenses. It is with great humility and undying love for their son that they ask for assistance in laying Ruben Jr. to rest. Any amount, regardless of how small or how large will be greatly appreciated. If all you can offer is a simple prayer for this family as they grieve the loss of their son, we believe that is a gift greater than any dollar amount generated by this request. Thank You for all your love and prayers.
