Our Fundraising Goal:
As you know we're continuing our fundraising efforts outside of support LLS through the Giant Race.

For those of you who were close to Matt during his treatment, you know how many times he drove from San Francisco to Sillicon Valley to Stanford for chemo, appointments, tests and eventually daily radiation. The costs of transportation, parking, gas, etc. certainly adds up. While he felt extremely lucky to be able to financially cover this cost, others aren't as fortunate.

As such, we've decided to support the Transportation Assistance Program developed by the local Greater Bay Area chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We hope you'll take the time to read more about the program and are excited as we are to help!

What is Transportation Assistance Program?
The Transportation Assistance Program is designed to provide travel assistance grants to blood cancer patients in Northern California, with a special emphasis on engaging Hispanic and Latino communities. The program is focused on easing the financial burden of patients and caregivers, ensuring access to treatment to improve health outcomes.

What is the goal of the program?
The goal is to provide 150 travel assistance grants of $500 each to eligible patient. To be eligible, patients much have a confirmed blood cancer diagnosis, live in Northern California, and have an annual income at or below 500% of the Federal Poverty Level.

What will each grant cover?
Grants will cover gas, car rental, air/bus/taxi fare, and hotel/lodging costs.

What is the goal of the Sudol Strider's?
Outside of participating in the Giant Race, it's our goal to raise a total of $10,000 to donate to the Transportation Assistance Program, which would provide 20, $500 grants to local blood cancer patients. We're already halfway there and with your help, we can reach our goal and impact the lives of so many!

Please share as much as you can, every penny counts.
