Callan's Laser Hair Removal Fund

Hi everybody, thanks for visiting my crowd funding page. If you don't know me my name is Callan. I'm a performer and artist living in Melbourne, and I’m a transwoman.

Being trans, one has to deal with dysphoria on a daily basis. When we look at our bodies and see parts of it we wish we could change, it can cause us stress, crippling discomfort, and sadness. These unshakeable feelings we carry around with us everyday can be alleviated by such things as starting Hormone Replacement Therapy, or having Gender Assignment Surgery.

A part of my body that causes me great discomfort is the amount of facial and body hair I have. At the moment I am having to shave my face and body everyday just to feel okay to leave the house. If I were to receive laser hair removal, my confidence in myself would thoroughly increase and I wouldn't have to be face to face with my insecurities every single day. Laser hair removal will really give me the chance to fulfil my expression of being a woman, and help me thrive in my work, friendships, goals and talents.

Unfortunately, this procedure is expensive and I cannot fully cover the cost. I have set up this crowdfunding page to ask for your help to reach my goal. Any size donation will really make a difference for me. The laser hair removal process is a long one over many months, and it is no longer an option for me to spend the time saving up for it, as I need to start this process as soon as possible.
