Llena tu taza de apoyo

Hurricane Maria affected a large percentage of our crops and one of the most affected crops was that of coffee in our mountains, the main engine of the economy of the mountainous area. After the devastating passage of Hurricane Maria, families of coffee pickers  in the mountains of Yauco have been left unemployed and in a precarious situation of life. We want to extend a helping hand in appreciation to those who for years have worked our lands hard to give us our much needed cup of joy every day.  Impending needs at the moment  are potable water and safe lighting. We also want to provide work for these families by helping with the cost of replanting the farms through out  Puerto Rico. These families will be without electricity for more than a year. We want to bring them hope for the future. 

Puerto Rico will need to replant at least 10 million seedlings to replace the trees lost due to the hurricane. 100 % of these funds will be used to provide aid for coffee pickers and their families. Our hope is to also fund efforts to help replant as many farms as we can.

María cobró un gran porcentaje de nuestras cosechas y una de las siembras más afectadas fue aquella del café en nuestras montañas, motor principal de la economía del área montañosa. Luego del paso devastador del huracán María más de 15 familias de recogedores en las montañas de Yauco han quedado sin empleo y en una situación precaria de vida. Queremos extender una mano amiga para nuestros agricultores que por años arduamente han trabajado nuestras tierras para brindarnos tal preciada semilla. Las necesidades inminentes al momento pueden ser acaparadas si se provee agua potable, iluminación segura y algún método de preparación de alimento seguro. 

Nos toca ahora llenar nuestra taza de apoyo por los nuestros, queremos ofrecer esperanza y recordar que unidos, Puerto Rico se levanta.
