Basketball hoop for Llangattock

Llangattock park needs you!

We are currently fundraising for a new full-size basketball net - the first time hoops will ever have been scored in Llangattock! The project is receiving generous support from the Crickhowell and District Community Partnership as part of their goal to promote activity and support development and skills in the community.

Llangattock Community Council voted to install a fixed, in-ground net on the tarmac area after receiving requests from local residents, including a letter from one player who wrote: 'Dear Llangattock council, I'm 7 years old and I love basketball a LOT...personally I say that kids and adults from Llangattock would find it great if there was a basketball net in the park mainly because not every family has enough money or space to have a net in their garden."

The CDCP has pledged to match fund up to £600, which would give us a total of £1250 to buy a 'Sure Shot 65662p galvanised steel net'. This is a private fundraiser with all monies raised going directly to Llangattock Community Council to purchase and install the net.
