It's been a hard time for all of us in the music industry and we're super excited that we can create something positive during these crazy times. We are running this event as a fundraiser for the following charities, below is a little more info on where your money will be going:

OUR MISSION - "To assist in the early development of early childhood education in Jamaica by improving the quality of pre-school education and learning environment. All funds raised will  benefit the sector of Jamaica’s education system which has the strongest impact on its youth in the most informative years of their preparation for adult life".

Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust = https://www.stephenlawrencetrust.org/
We work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds aged 13 to 30 to inspire and enable them to succeed in the career of their choice. We also influence others to create a fairer society in which everyone, regardless of their background, can flourish.

Due to Covid we weren't able to host our festival in Finsbury Park this year but we still wanted to create something positive that will stand the test of time and keep the whole family entertained. We want to say a HUGE thank you to all the artists, film crew, sound technicians and everyone who has helped make this project happen.

The event will be exploring sound system culture through live PA's and DJ sets from some of London's most exiting artists and are honoured to be celebrating 50 YEARS OF KING TUBBY'S.

In addition, we're also joined by LJF friends and family, helping you to get carnival ready with nail painting, face painting, cooking demo's, cocktail making and not forgetting our infamous patty eating and chilli eating competitions.

 Covid has effected us all in different ways and we want to use this project as a way that we can all come together and celebrate the things we love about Caribbean food, music and culture.

Once again we have to give a HUGE shout out to Charlie Cook and the Soho streams crew for making this happen, they went above and beyond with this project. Also BIG thanks to Joe Paton and the crew from Glance productions, this was an enormous project to undertake and we couldn't have done it without this amazing team who gave their time and equipment to make it happen.
