Liz runs her only marathon
Donation protected
It's happened. After many years of half marathons and 10ks, I'm taking the plunge and running the Manchester Marathon on April 8 - and I would like your support as I do it.
I had no idea how much time it would take to even approach "match fitness" and I can pretty much guarantee it will be a one-time event.
So. With that in mind, I would like to ask you to donate whatever you can to raise funds for the charity we set up when my father died almost a decade ago.
My dad was a great musician, but he was also a teacher who was passionate about getting kids to engage with music no matter what their background.
He knew that talent doesn't favour privilege, and money should not be the gateway to opportunity and experience.
The Paul Pfeuti Young Musicians' Trust gives grants to kids who have the talent but not the means to develop - or even just enjoy - the power of music.
We have raised and distributed several thousand pounds since 2009 and want to keep doing so.
By mid April, I will have run 500 miles this year, so it would be great to raise that in pounds — but it would also be great to double it, just in case I fancy doing another one!
Thanks for anything you can give,
Liz
