Liv's Run for Equal Arts!

Hello!

Come september I will be running a half marathon to raise some money for the brilliant charity, Equal Arts and it would be great if you could support me in whatever way you can! 

Equal Arts is a creative ageing charity based in the North-East that provides creative opportunities for older people living in care homes both nationally and internationally. Creative opportunities include workshops run by facilitators in drama, sensory-stimulation, music, art, movement, story-telling, gardening, textiles, willow-weaving...the list is endless!  

The charity has also kick-started the hen-keeping scheme in care homes called Henpower which has been hugely popular and succesful in stimulating older people's lives.  They have also recently started a new project called Creative Friends which reaches out to older people still living at home who may feel isolated,  aiming to connect older people whilst simultaneously providing them with creative opportunities.  

Older people still have a lot to offer to the community and one way we can include them is by allowing them to express themselves creatively!
