Tenant Organizing @ Livmore High Park and 40 HP 77 QB
Spende geschützt
The Livmore High Park Tenants' Association (LHPTA) and the 40 High Park/77 Quebec Tenants' Association are organizing tenants and community events!
We have a fantastic community here in Toronto, and we're excited to celebrate how strong, organized, and positive we are!
All proceeds will go towards covering the costs of tenant organizing, BBQs, and other community events.

About the Livmore High Park Tenants' Association
Since November 2022 we have been advocating for tenants. This was in response to over 11% rent increases demanded by our landlord GWLRA. These rent increases will cost each rental unit over $3000 more every year, with no change in services or amenities, and without any major repairs required in our buildings.
Over 550 tenants signed a collective letter asking for a justification and return to rent control. But the response from our landlord GWLRA was inconsistent and dismissive, despite making multi-million dollar profits every year.
We are concerned that we will continue to be subjected to substantial and unjustified rent increases on a yearly basis. This has forced tenants out of our buildings, and caused undue financial hardship to tenants who wish remain in the home and community that we love.
About the 40 High Park/77 Quebec Tenants' Association
Recognizing the power in solidarity, tenants at the 40 High Park/77 Quebec buildings have joined forces with Livmore High Park tenants to address shared concerns and advocate for their collective interests. All tenants from the four buildings share a common landlord, common amenities, and therefore common issues. Recently an above-guideline-increase was announced at 40 High Park/77 Quebec, which could see rent increasing at double the provincial limit.
We want every tenant to have an equal ability to remain in their homes and treated with respect, not economically evicted.
