Living Liver Donor Transplant

My Uncle was diagnosed with stage IV Liver Disease 5 years ago and has been on the transplant list without any luck of finding a donor. He has 3 amazing children and a wife that need him and finding a donor has weighed heavy on them emotionally and financially.

I recently went through extensive amounts of testing and found out that I am a match and have an opportunity to save my Uncle's life. Unfortunately,  doing this for my Uncle will also create a financial hardship for me as his living donor.

We're preparing for our transplant surgery on September 30th which will require a week in the hospital followed by 2 months of full recovery. Not only are we in need of financial support but we want to create awareness around the importance of being an organ donor. When I personally checked that box, I never imagined I would become a living donor. I am going to be lucky enough to witness how donation not only saves a life but saves a family.
