Our Aim
To take a group of 20 UK participants who are currently living with or beyond cancer to Club La Santa in Lanzarote from the 10th - 17th September 2020 for a week of fun, sport and exercise activity. A key message of the week is that cancer doesn’t define any of those attending and no-one needs to know, or tell, what cancer or treatment they have had or are having. Everyone attends as a participant looking to challenge themselves, to push themselves and most importantly enjoy themselves. The week is about discovering your true capabilities, building confidence with this and taking this back with you to your daily life.
What we need - To make this week possible we need to raise funds for participants to attend. Cancer not only has a huge physical and psychological impact it can also create financial difficulties. We feel everyone should have the opportunity to attend and if we can raise funds to enable this to happen, it would be incredible. The cost for 7 days for one participant is £995 (excluding flights approx £300); this includes half board, transfers, accommodation and all activities led by some of the UK's leading cancer exercise specialists.
Once we have raised £2600 we will donate two places to the charity 'something to look forward to' who will allocate them to two participants living with and beyond cancer. Please donate as much as you can and help us make this happen.
