For the past year, I’ve been homeless for a year, surviving out of my car, and the truth is… I haven’t felt safe or like I truly belong anywhere in a long time. And I’m telling you this because I’m fighting to get back on my feet while I’m still here.

<div>Right now, I need a safe environment—somewhere I can build steady routines, work during calmer hours, and finally feel secure. I’m trying desperately to save myself, but I’m living with disabilities that make everyday life overwhelming— claustrophobia that clenches my throat &amp; chest, hyper sensitivity to smells &amp; sounds that keep me mad, social and performance anxiety at its worst, and trauma from the past 3 years of being exploited, yelled at, bullied, and mistreated.

My part-time job teaching dance at the YMCA gives me a sense of purpose and structure, yet I can’t fully do my job because classes are often canceled when students don’t show up. It’s frustrating to prepare, show up, and then not be able to teach at all. On top of that, the inconsistent work means I can’t earn enough to cover even my basic needs. I’ve applied for overnight jobs in gyms and trucking, and though nothing has come through yet, I refuse to give up on rebuilding my life.
