Love, Help, & Support for Essence & her Children

I began this GoFundMe in support of my dear friend, Essence, and her 2 children.
On September 29th, Essence and her husband happily closed on a house they worked hard & sacrificed to save for. Excited to begin on the new journey of making this a home for their family, Essence's world was turned upside down overnight.
On October 15th, her husband unexpectedly made the decision to leave their 12 year marriage and children without warning & relocate outside of NY State entirely.
This has obviously devastated both her and the girls emotionally & financially, and Essence has been left to deal with the aftermath of his decision.
She is now burdened with paying the cost of the new mortgage and all other living expenses & bills on solely her income. Her savings have been depleted due to the recent purchase of her home and she is in a very tight, if not impossible, situation at this time.
She is also in the process of meeting with lawyers regarding divorce and custody. She, unfortunately, does not qualify for legal aid and the unavoidable legal fees will only add to the financial burden she is currently facing.
Essence is committed to seeking viable opportunities in order to secure additional income allowing her to independently sustain the household moving forward.

My goal for this fundraiser is to address immediate needs to help Essence and her girls remain in their new home, help with necessary everyday living costs & bills, and assist with legal fees while coping with this difficult chapter in their lives.
