Living And Working In Recovery
Donation protected

Almost everyone knows someone who is struggling with addictions. Imagine what could be accomplished if every Canadian whose life has in some way been impacted by addictions gave $20.
LAWIR (Living And Working In Recovery) was founded by a group of people who believe that every Canadian deserves the opportunity to live in a safe, fulfilling and independent environment where they can grow and develop to their fullest potential.
Our Mission: To inspire healthier communities that will bring families together by encouraging a clean, sober living and working environment.
Our Goal: To provide communities all across Canada, for people recovering from addictions who have made the first step of completing a treatment program.
To accomplish our goal we will provide clean and sober community housing with absolutely no drugs or alcohol allowed on the premises. This community housing will include:
* A common area where residences will be able to socialize with other residences
* Offices for licensed addiction counselors to meet with their clients
* Meeting rooms where 12 step programs and other types of meetings will be held
* Residences will be required to be working within 3 days of entering the program
* Jobs and training will be provided through our partnership with White-Cap Contracting
* Each resident will be responsible to pay their own rent and abide by all rules and regulations of the community
LAWIR will provide a group of highly trained individuals dedicated to helping addicts continue their path to recovery while living and working in a functioning society. Also teaching basic life skills and encouraging people to strive for Independence and a self sufficient lifestyle. In partnership with White-Cap Contracting LAWIR will be able to employ individuals through sub-contracts. These contracts include but are not limited to such things as landscaping, snow removal, renovations etc.
