Help Honor North Korean Victims
The Free Korean Association, in collaboration with North Korean refugees residing in the United States, is promoting the construction of a memorial space to honor the countless nameless victims sacrificed by the North Korean regime in the Washington DC area.
This memorial will be built to pay tribute to the estimated 3 million individuals whose lives were tragically lost due to the oppressive regime's actions.
North Korean refugees who have found freedom are survivors and witnesses of indescribable hardships under the oppressive North Korean regime.
In the mid-1990s, the North Korean regime poured the country's resources into developing nuclear weapons and missiles, even as tens of millions of people were starving, resulting in the deaths of millions. Due to North Korea's extreme control of information, the facts about the victims of radiation from nuclear tests are not known, and many people are being sacrificed at this very moment.
Among those sacrificed in North Korea, there are those who sacrificed their lives while fighting against the tyranny of the Kim regime, and there are also those who escaped in search of a way to live but were caught in a third country and taken to a political prison camp or were sacrificed in the process of escaping from North Korea.
Among them, there are quite a few who left behind neither their names nor their bodies. What's even more unfortunate is that there is no place in the United States even to place a single flower to commemorate them.
The Free Korean Association hopes that human rights defenders and individuals with good consciences around the world will join us in establishing a memorial space.
We greatly appreciate your generous donation.
