Liverpool Women's Neonatal Unit
Hello Guys
We are looking to raise funds for the Liverpool Women's Hospital.
Our son Archie was born 7 weeks pre mature and spent the first 5 weeks of his life under the care of the Liverpool Women's Neonatal Unit.
Archie was born with Laryngomalacia, which means that he has to work a little harder to breathe due to the floppy tissue above his vocal cords.
For his time in the Neonatal Unit, he was on air flow oxygen and the team could not of done more for Archie, Soph and Myself.
They helped with feeds, changing, medicines and monitoring his oxygen levels and generally just made him and us as parents feel safe.
Part of the programme they have there is that they were funding the car park and a hot meal for the parents each day, now the last thing you want to worry as a new parent is looking after yourself, as your pre mature baby is your sole focus.
Over 5 weeks, that would of cost our family around £1600.00, which is a lot for anyone.
What we are looking to do is raise some funds for the Neonatal Unit to assist in the amazing job they are already doing.
We will be running a charity football match on 22nd September, which we will have prizes, live music and donations.
If you can spare anything in these tough times to help families going through alot with the pre mature and poorly new-borns it would be very much appreciated
