In April 2025, I was diagnosed with Decompensated Liver Disease after years of feeling sick and being unable to work. That diagnosis began a seven-month journey toward getting listed for a transplant, and on November 29th, I received my new liver. This experience has changed my life and given me another chance to make the best of it. I am now on a one to two-year recovery before I will be fully healed and established with my new liver. During this time, I will be working toward professional licenses and training my mind for when my body is ready to return to work. I am committed to changing my lifestyle from a pursuit of luxury to a life of purpose and experience, and I want to spend more time with my kids, family, and friends. I have given up all unhealthy habits, including drinking and smoking, to ensure I never scare my children and family with a situation like this again.

 The funds from this fundraiser will help me cover essential living expenses such as clothes, transportation, and gas. Because I am now severely immunocompromised, I need to purchase methods to live my life in more isolation to avoid becoming sick. Out-of-pocket medical and dental care is estimated to be significant this year, and regular dental visits are required to prevent serious infections. Financial help will allow me to focus on recovery and support my family during this challenging time. I am already blessed with many people who are helping me with meals and grocery shopping, and every donation will help me recover and rebuild my life.

 Although this has been the hardest experience my body has gone through, it has been the most amazing for my heart to have so many people reach out and express love and offer help. The best way to help me right now is financial support, even though it's hard for me to ask. All funds I receive are towards my recovery and building a new life for myself and my loved ones.
