Liver Transplant care and expenses
Donation protected
Thank you for all the people that have supported… I know a lot of people have watched my son battle this illness over the years… we’ve fought long and hard to get on the #transplant list but resources are everything. We pray the call for a #liver is any day now and we ask #God that we are prepared to handle it. Everything is in his hands Moving to #Georgia has made all the difference in getting more medical care, thank you #PiedmontAtlanta for realizing this could no longer go on with 4 to 6 mini surgeries a year. He has had 7 surgeries, this year alone and with medical co-pays, prescriptions, constant transportation to appts; The cost are heavy and physical help is appreciated too but we will get through this, not to mention the expensive Anti rejection meds needed for life after transplant. Realistically, insurance doesn't cover it all. He is my only child, and anybody knows him know he’s kept a positive attitude and a smile through it all … even when he was forced to where a bile release bag over a month… i know God makes no mistakes but why must his good souls suffer so much yall know Ten is a good one…please help my baby
My son, Tendai has been battling with his health for the last 8 years. He has been dealing with a deteriorating liver (liver disease) coupled with chrohns since his early teens. We've done all we can to keep him healthy and prolong this process, but the inevitable has finally caught up to us. As a teenager his quality of life has not been that of a normal teen, and the stress level for both he and I has been at an all time high. Since, I've always been a Single parent, I'm the only source of income and insurance for us both through my job, things are tighter than ever. I've found myself trying to work excessive hours to provide, while still being his sole source of emotional support. Taking off work to transport him is another process too. My biggest fear is burning out from working to much, trying to make up for when im taking off for him or losing the job that is aiding in the insurance for him or just not being able to get him to the many appointments or medications he need. I feel every little bit helps as many has watched him battle this process and I've been there right with him but since its JUST US, the Social Worker is encouraging us daily to get more financial resources and even more physical help. Both we know we'll exceed 10K but all we can do now is ask. Again THANK YOU FOR ALL HELP AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
