Liver for JD -Jimmy D Brannon)
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Beth. This fundraiser is to help make it possible for my husband JD (Jimmy) to receive a liver transplant. Funds will be used to help with the medical and travel expenses as we work with the transplant team to keep him well enough to receive a liver transplant when a liver match becomes available. The past year has been long and costly just getting him qualified to be on the transplant list.
- Let me tell you a bit more about JD, He is a 65-year-old retired Truck driver and is living on Social Security. He has been sober for over 20 years. Through the pandemic, he was having a lot of trouble with his health, but getting into a doctor's was almost impossible. After a year of constantly being in pain, he went to the emergency room. He was told that he was in liver failure "Cirrhosis " That's where our journey began... Over the last year and a half, he has undergone 4 to 8 procedures a month, each costing a minimum of $250. He is on 12 different medications, some of which have extremely high co-pays. We drive to Nashville TN for all of his appointments, which is almost 200 miles round trip.
- The Vanderbilt Transplant Team has been a God send! We are so grateful for all their hard work and dedication to getting JD on the transplant list at last! One of the requirements for receiving a transplant is that we must stay in Nashville for 6 to 12 weeks! So on top of all the medical expenses, we will need lodging.
- We have exhausted our resources and desperately need your help to make this transplant possible!
- Please share this fundraiser with your family and friends. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless
