This page has been set up for an amazing, special and incredibly loved grandmother, mother, sister, daughter, friend, and soul!
As you know, Vilma Rivas has been battling cancer for the past three years. She has been in-and-out of hospitals, through numerous chemo treatments, radiation, surgeries, procedures, not to mention the many daily battles that this horrible disease brings with it. Throughout this entire time, Vilma has kept a positive attitude, has never lost her faith and has been an unbelievably brave and strong fighter. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, the doctors decided to end all treatments, as it is now doing more damage than good. It was what we all did NOT want to hear. </3
It is said that God gives His hardest battles to His strongest soldiers. Sometimes life lessons are taught under unbearable and difficult circumstances and all of us who know and love Vilma are living through one of these lessons now. If we can learn anything through this experience, it's to live a life that means something, to be a beacon of light to all those you come in contact with, to be a positive influence, to aim to be a better at telling those who are important to us, just how important they are. Vilma has lived her whole life doing these very things. We should all want to live life like her! #LiveLikeVilma
Right now her family needs your help. Her daughter, Karla Fajardo, is currently taking time off work to spend every waking moment by her side to care for her and make sure she is as comfortable as possible and surrounded by love.
We are asking for you to please consider donating what you can so we can make an impact for Vilma and her family. No amount is too small. Karla will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time. All of this, in addition to her daughter moving across the country for college, medical expenses, as well as other expenses to come, is a big burden to bare.
Any prayers and/or financial support that you can offer will be greatly appreciated. We assure you that every dollar donated will be used cautiously and responsibly, as the need is rather great. We are grateful and thank you for your love, prayers and support.
