Live Saving Medical Care for 3 Rescue Cats
Donation protected
Hello everyone! We are Kawakuji Animal Rescue, an animal rescue based in Ibaraki, Japan. A majority of the animals we take in are cats, many of whom have health problems. Recently, three cats have come into our care who need significant medical treatments.
Gigi is a 10 week old kitten from a litter of six. All six kittens are currently in our care after being an unwanted litter along with their mother, Autumn. Gigi was recently diagnosed with megaesophagus, so she is unable to eat or drink normally. She nearly lost her life and will require special care and treatment. We are hoping in the future, she will be able to have this condition surgically treated. For now, we want to ensure that she can be properly cared for and be prepared in case she experiences another medical emergency.
Autumn has also experienced a recent health crisis which left her hospitalized. Thankfully, she was able to recover enough to be discharged and returned to her foster home, and recently diagnosed with mycoplasma haemophilis, a blood infection caused by fleas. We want to be prepared should her condition deteriorate again. As of now, we are treating her with antibiotics, and are hopeful for a full recovery.
Pumpkin is a 4-month old kitten we found wandering the streets alone. We took him to four vets and we have suspected he might have FIP, but at the moment, he is undiagnosed. The medication required to treat FIP is around $90 per day for 3 months.
Your support will allow us to continue giving all these wonderful cats proper medical treatment and provide them with the best quality of life possible. If you cannot donate, spreading the word about this GoFundMe campaign is also much appreciated. Thank you so much <3
