<div>What began as a personal challenge to test his own discipline took a heartbreaking turn when his 3-year-old daughter, Zeya Grace, tragically drowned.

<div>In that moment, everything changed. Jason could have stopped — but instead, he ran through grief, heartbreak, and the kind of pain no parent should ever have to endure.

<div>Drowning is the #1 cause of accidental death in children aged 1–4. Most families don’t realize the danger until it’s too late. That’s why Jason partnered with Live Like Jake, a foundation created by another grieving parent, to prevent childhood drownings through education, swim scholarships, and awareness.

<div>As Day 1,000 approaches, runners from around the world — from Florida to Australia and Europe — are joining Jason’s mission. Marathons, 5Ks, and steps in solidarity are being taken to support a father who turned heartbreak into hope.
