Help Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary

Donation protected
Update - if you have previously donated to this page, first of all thank you so much. This was our very first fundraiser for Little Buckets. Since this page is over 2 years old, it will no longer accept new donations however now that we are a nonprofit, we have created a new GoFundMe page through their charity page. Please see our most recent fundraiser where we are raising money for our 4 boys, bigger barn. We want to hit our goal as soon as possible so that we can order the barn and have delivered prior to winter. Please check it out at:

Thank you so much for your support!

On May 8, 2018, a dream became a reality.  I moved 5 horses, 2 pigs, 2 cows, 8 goats, 2 dogs and myself, from my home state, to a completely new one, in order to save more lives, offering a sanctuary/rescue to animals that need a home.  Giving them the life you want to lead. My passion led me to take this leap of faith, because of the love I have for animals and knowing so many just need a chance to give their love to someone. No matter how small or big an animal is, they all have a heart they want to share.  Increasing the size of my farm, would allow me to give so many more that chance to share their love, giving them the extra care they need, and providing a safe home. I have always supported my dream on my own, working in order to pay all the vet bills, feed bills, and other care they all need alongside taking care of the farm.  It is truly a labor of love. I will continue to do this and I am not a person who likes to ask for help, but I also realize there are others who share my passion who maybe are not able to house a sanctuary, and may wish to contribute in some small way.  Donating to my gofundme page, would do just that. Even a dollar would contribute to a better life for these deserving animals.  There are fences to mend, shelters to be built, new pastures to create, mouths to feed, just to name a few. The quicker I am able to get my new farm setup to house more rescues, the quicker more lives will be saved.  Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary will focus mainly on farm animals like horses, goats, sheep, cows, and fostering dogs.  But the barn doors are always open to whoever.

Below is a story of Bucket, a jersey steer who I saved at the end of March 2017. This is what I want to do more of. Thank you for reading and any support you are willing to give. The gang here will certainly appreciate.

In 2017, I decided to make a Bucket List. And on that list was going to an auction to save a life. I knew it was going to be a really hard thing to do because of what I was going to see and to the fact that I couldn't save them all. I cried in the parking lot going in. I took my trailer and picked up feed for a lamb and a calf because I wasn't sure who I was going to be bringing home. I already had goats so that made the most sense. :) But I don't always do everything that makes sense and the calves were first. It was so hard not to bid on all of them. I bid on one Jersey Calf and someone else did as well who I believed was not a dealer so I backed off. Then a few minutes later, the littlest calf came out and the auctioneer looked right at me. No one bid on him and so I did and I got him for $10. He was at most a day old. I have never been around cows/calves at all and knew pretty much nothing but I had done this with my horses, my potbelly pigs, and my goats so I figured, I could once again learn. So I literally carried him to the trailer, which I did not really need as he could have fit on my back seat.

I named him Bucket for Bucket List. He has been the most amazing animal, friend, teacher, advocate, and so much more. Who could ever have discarded him at such a young age but now he will live his life out at the sanctuary.  Bucket and my rescue dog Colton took immediately to each other. Colton did not always get along with my other dogs as they were older so she loved the fact that Bucket was her size and would run and play. And so they did. They laid together, played together and it has been and still is one of the best experiences of my life
Cows have personalities just like dogs. Once I got Bucket, I knew I had to take the chance and leave a farm I put together and go bigger so I could save more Buckets. Bucket inspired my new farm name Little Buckets Farm Sanctuary. If you would like to check out the story and friendship of Bucket and Colton and many more rescues to come - check out
