Little Angus' Wheelchair Fund

Little Angus' current wheelchair just isn't cutting it anymore - it is heavy and unwieldy and doesn't allow him to move fast enough independently or keep up with the other kids at school.
We want to make one special little boy's life easier and enable him to be more independent by providing him with the means to keep up with his peers. To do this Angus needs a lightweight rigid framed wheelchair but unfortunately these cost a LOT of money!
Angus was born with Spina Bifida. He faced major surgery within days of being born to close an open lesion on his spine. Since then he has defied medical expectations and continues to be an incredibly brave, determined and positive little boy.
Angus' condition affects his co-ordination, balance, ability to walk and many other parts of his development. His Spina Bifida means he increasingly faces challenges just to get through his day. As he grows his nerve damage struggles to keep up with his development.
It would make Little Angus' year to get a new wheelchair that is as awesome as he is. Angus enjoys being as active as his brothers - and his friends at school, and he is eager to get involved with wheelchair Moto Cross - which is the wheelchair equivalent of skateboarding. You can see him trying out daring tricks in the video above. Imagine how awesome this would be in a light weight chair he could more easily manoeuvre himself.
Little Angus V the 8-Mile Roll - Sunday 19th August
On 19th August, Little Angus will be rolling his wheelchair the 8 miles from Rivermead to Sonning along the Thames Tow Path in order to raise money for his lightweight wheelchair. This is a significant distance for him - he is going to attempt as much as possible (with help and support from family and friends). Please sponsor him and / or join us all for the walk to show your support. Time: 10am Date: Sunday 19th August Starting: Rivermead Leisure Centre - round trip to Sonning Bridge and back.
