Little the Beagle's Vet Costs

Donation protected
Hi! Many of you are already aware of Little's story. She has spent most of her short life living in southern Texas. Her owner sadly passed a few weeks ago, and his daughter was bringing Little to her new home in Wisconsin when she was in a terrible car accident and Little ran off from the crash site. After 5 days in the freezing cold temps and despite being hit by a car, she is alive but needs quite a bit of emergency vet care. The small community where the crash occurred was overwhelmingly supportive! So many people did whatever they could to bring Little home. Her owner spent all 5 days outside looking for Little and would undoubtedly take on any amount of debt to make sure she is healthy and okay and I am hoping we can ease the financial burden on her with a little more support. Thank you ALL!

Edit #1: Little is at the emergency vet and the first bill will be at least $1600, she had some pretty severe skin hanging off from the car accident though and each visit to change the wet/dry bandages will be approximately $300. They do not know the full extent of her injuries currently and edits will be made as we find out.

Edit #2: Little gets to go home for the night!!! (11/22) But she does have a lung injury that is concerning, and they are working on her skin and beginning a wet-to-dry bandage treatment. Tomorrow (11/23) she will be reevaluated at a vet closer to home as the emergency vet wants to see how she holds up at home overnight before opting for any immediate surgery/hospitalization. We do know she will need daily vet appointments to change her bandages though.

Edit #3: The vet appointment to get Little’s bandages changed has been costlier then we expected, roughly $530. She will likely need these appointments daily for one week, then every other day for another week, then every few days for up to a total of 4 weeks. Updating the goal to reflect expected total costs.

Edit #4: Little needs surgery! Danielle has been paying out of her own pocket for the past few weeks for bandage changes but Little’s hit a bit of a plateau healing and needs one surgery to see if it will encourage more skin growth but still may need a skin graft surgery that will cost at least $5k.

If you would like to bypass donating here and donate directly to the veterinarian’s bill, Little will be receiving treatment at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Glendale and their number is [phone redacted].

Thank you all so much for all your support!
