Little Louis’ eye procedure

Our little Louis has been a fighter and a trooper for months. He was rescued from LÁ from a high kill shelter and brought to Calgary, where he had to undergo a surgery to remove an eye due to an infection that was left untreated. We got him as a foster in April, and immediately fell in love with him and knew we wanted to keep him - but his eye wasn’t healing like we expected. We took him to many vet visits hoping the eye would heal, but 6 months later it was decided he needed to be seen by specialists. We took him to VCA, where wonderful vets saw him and told us the only way to fix the problem was to have him undergo yet another surgery, which was done December 3rd.

This year has been a rough year for everyone. The rescue where Louis came from covered the cost of surgery (which were over 2000$ with meds and appointments) and I am incredibly grateful. 

I decided to do a fundraiser to help cover some of the costs of Louis’ care so the rescue can keep helping other little angels like Louis find their perfect forever homes. 

We know 2020 has been a rough year - we don’t expect anyone to have extra money (and we appreciate the good healing vibes just as much) - but in case you have a little extra and wanna help us raise funds to cover the costs of the surgery, we are forever grateful.
