Vagabonds, an Afrika Burn camp, has helped to raise donations and bring the spirit of afrikaburn community building and support into khaylitsha.
Among the poorest part of the Khayelitsha township in Cape Town, South Africa, we saw a ray of love, care and hope for the future - Ms Nesife’s Daycare center.
After raising 3 daughters, she started a daycare center for the local kids, so that their parents have a chance to work and the kids get a chance to obtain education and feel empowered from a very young age.
Right now the parents only pay 150 Rand ($11) for each child a month, which covered basic food for the kids and the hiring the help needed to run the center.
The shack this is taking place in was built from set leftovers of the set of the TV-show “Black Sails”. It’s far from a sturdy quality structure which prevents the daycare to get financial help from the government.
Our plan is to build a better and safer structure for the daycare so that they can get help from the government and continue to grow!

Steps to follow:
The start of EPC (Engineering, procurement, and construction). Samuel Delesque is in charge of accepting the funds and disbursing them to the contractors, part of our team is staying to oversee the overall project development.
