Little Boy Kitty Needs Help

The Little Boy has made it a whole year since he was diagnosed with lymphoma.. and many of you helped get him this far. I am so grateful -- but the Little Boy needs a little more help.
Part of what saved him was radiation therapy, which he went through with flying colors. We followed up the radiation with chemo -- he lost his whiskers (they grew back slightly upside down on one side) but made it through splendidly. The photograph was taken at the end of chemo when he was feeling great enough to jump up on the bathroom sink for a drink of water.
But, it turns out the radiation and chemo have caused a complication -- what the doctors say (based on an MRI) is a severe infection in his ear, just beside where the lymphoma tumor was..
Right now the Little Boy is on a very strong antibiotic, but not getting better. The Neurologist and the Oncologist are each worried about the infection -- the Neurologist got involved because his balance has been effected -- and now also each is concerned that the infection is secondary to a return of the lymphoma.
Either of these things can be treated and win the Little Boy another year or even several years of happy life. But to know what to do the doctors need to do a biopsy in his little ear -- and do it as soon as possible before he gets too sick. They need, with the results of the biopsy, to both zero in on an alternative antibiotic for the infection -- and figure out if there is cancer hidden underneath it.
The MRI cost a lot -- I haven't quite finished paying for it. The biopsy, which will cost $1000, is the next step to help the Little Boy. The doctors say he cannot wait.
