Little Baby New Year

On January 1st 2023, Little Leo the Lion came in to the World at 12:27am. Little did we know Leo would be Sonoma Counties first Baby of 2023 - a beautiful bouncing boy weighing in at 7lbs 5ozs and 21.25”. Very soon after nursing, it was discovered that Leo had an issue with his Digestion. Tests were done and it was soon determined that Leo was in a dire situation. Waste from his digestive tract was blocked due to an underdeveloped Intestine. Leo the Lion was rushed to the Sutter NICU in San Francisco where he underwent Emergency Surgery to relieve the Blockage. Surgery was successful; however he had to have his intestinal tract bypassed which involved removing 4” of His small intestine, along with the installation of a Colostomy Bag. Leo’s Mother has not left His side and Leo’s Dad is at Home tending to Leo’s Siblings who have been anxiously waiting to meet Him for the first time.

The process is taking its toll on this wonderful Family and any contribution would be very much loved and appreciated.

All contributions will be going toward medical bills and travel expenses.

The journey is far from over, he will be going into his second surgery in February to reconnect his intestines. Until then, he is being closely monitored by Mom at his bedside and the team at Sutter NICU until his body is ready for the next surgery. Please keep Little Leo the Lion in your Prayers.
