Lismore flood disaster. Help real people rebuild.

Lismore is devastated, struggling to rebuild after its worst flood in history. Came in much quicker than warned. We are a flood town! We followed our plan, put our possessions upstairs above the 1 in 100 flood level and thought we were safe as the levee was predicted to overflow at 6 am. At 2 am, we got the emergency, evacuate now alert! by 6 am, the water was 2 m higher than any flood in recorded history, and our safe upstairs became death traps. Over 4000 people needed rescuing off their roof. Loved ones are lost.

I am one of the lucky ones! I got out. I have somewhere to stay. I have flood insurance!

Many people have requested me to start a gofundme. I was hesitant because I am luckier than most, even though I have lost everything.

This fund is to help my friends and neighbours who, like so many in Lismore, flood insurance was unattainable. They need help! I am distributing all funds I raise to people that need them most, like my neighbour Brett, one of the many heroes of Lismore. He spent two days in his boat rescuing people after losing everything.
