Lisa's Medical & Survival Expenses

Just before moving to Toronto, Lisa had back-to-back car accidents. In the first she was hit from the side and suffered a "moderate" whiplash. In the second she was hit from behind and suffered a severe whiplash. These two accidents have left her with significant chronic pain and some loss of function in her back, shoulders, neck, and hands.

The insurance companies involved, including her own, have been neither helpful nor forthcoming with funds. Lisa has a good lawyer, but settlement is at least two to three years or more away. In the meantime she is not able to work, due to the pain and considerable loss of function in her hands, which are the tools of her trade. 

Lisa is now exploring her issues and possible outcomes 
with the help of a new family doctor and a rheumatologist.  They are attempting to properly diagnose her issues and find solutions, as well as insuring that she has sufficient pain management therapy. 

To top it all off, Lisa has just received an amazing opportunity! A production company she worked for in the past, a group of wonderful people based in Toronto, has asked her to be their permanent Projects Makeup Artist. The first production begins in November. This is the position Lisa has waited for all her career.  She is very excited about it, and can only hope to be healthy enough to work by November.

With your generous help, we can make this happen for Lisa. She just needs  time to get better, and rest her body, and meet the challenges that she is facing now. The financial crisis caused by her inability to work is not only adding to her stress, but making her unable to afford the on-going pain therapy that she so badly needs.
