Lisa's Lyme Journey

As most of you know our mother, Lisa, has been battling chronic illness for about eight years.  In the last two years she has finally figured out the underlying cause: Lyme disease.  She has encountered many doctors visits, countless trips to Cleveland Clinic, endless antibiotics and other remedies for them all not to work.  In a last ditch effort to stop her steady decline in health, she is going to check into an inpatient facility in Scottsdale, Arizona called Envita, at the beginning of November. Unfortunately, Lyme disease is a disease that sucks the life out of you and your wallet as it is unrecognized and not covered by health insurance, AT ALL.  That is right, not a single cent of her treatment thus far has been covered by health insurance. Therefore, neither will her inpatient stay at Envita which will cost an additional $80,000 on top of cost of her treatment this far and cost of living while there. As her children, have decided to reach out for support throughout our communities to help ease the financial burden of this debilitating disease so she can get back to the healthy Lisa/Mom/Wife/Mimi/friend we know.
