Lisa's Cholangiocarcinoma Treatment

On April 18th, 2017 mom was admitted to the hospital for chest pain. They did a CT to rule out blood clots and found multiple tumors. The biopsy revealed stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma which is a cancer of the bile ducts located in the liver, pancreas and gallbladder. Moms cancer started in the gallbladder and has metastasized to the liver, lymph nodes, and possibly some other areas. Because the way the cancer is surrounding a main blood vessel surgery is not an option, because of the tumor size radiation is not an option. She was told that she has at most 6 months and that chemo would buy her only a few months. While this news is of course crushing mom has been in good spirits and has begun fighting immediately. We started to research all of the options available to her which for conventional medicine was very slim in the process we have found some very promising alternative treatments.
As a family, we came together to devise the best way to use our family's savings in an attempt to fight for our mother's life. In June of 2017 we flew out to Phoenix, Arizona where Lisa setup a temporary residency in order for us to take our one shot, our only shot, at treating this cancer. After 3 months of intense IPT treatment and a host of other treatments we have gotten confirmation as of today, Jan 5th 2018, that Lisa's cancer is losing and she is winning! Her cancer responded to the treatment so effectively, so fast, that Her doctors could only describe it as a "miracle"! A miracle that no doubt is a testimony to her willing spirit to fight despite every obstacle we have faced along the way and also because of her faith in God who we know has been with us this whole journey. Today we learned her tumors in her liver, the most life threatening of this disease, has shrunk almost in half! The tumors in her lungs and esophagus are gone! We found a treatment that is working and now we can only pray and ask that we can raise the rest of the money needed to defeat this cancer, to provide an answer and an inspiration to all who are suffering from this insidious disease, and so her treatment can even be studied and prove as a testimony that alternative cancer treatment is saving lives when conventional medicine and Dr's give us no hope but rather a death sentence. It doesn't have to be and that's where you can help!
In this fight against one of the deadliest forms of cancer she has also had to fight multiple financial institutions for access to her own money. Fighting the credit card industry. Fighting a mountain of Healthcare bills which we may never be able to pay back. One could say she has shown an incredible spirit of determination. Alternative cancer treatment is expensive. We have to pay for this treatment out of our personal accounts and hope that insurance will reimburse us through a 3rd party billing company which also requires a fee for their services. This process takes months, a precious commodity of time that she just doesn't have. And that is based on the hope that insurance will pay for something. And after 6 months the payback has been pennies on the dollar. We were hoping to use that money to fund future treatment, unfortunately there's not enough to even consider it even for the price of 1 IPT treatment. A failure of our Healthcare system! It cost our family an average of $6000 per week for treatment. One IPT treatment alone costs $2500. Needless to say after months of treatment we have exhausted our funds and though it is heartbreaking to see this result in a battle half fought... It is also encouraging to know we found a treatment that will defeat her cancer if we can raise the rest of the money to fight it.
