Hello everyone, my name is Britney and I am starting this fund for my mother, Lisa. I know that my mom would never ask for this type of help, so I'm asking for her. She may be embarrassed, as she tends to be a very private person, but she won't die of embarrasment; possibly something much worse. I want to keep this short and to the point because TIME IS PRECIOUS!
Lisa's battle began around November of 2016 when she fell off a horse and sustained a pelvic break. While in the hospital, she received scans that would imply the need for further investigation of her lymph nodes in the area of the break. Without health insurance at the time, while in the hospital and over the next year, she incurred additional medical diagnosis' and expenses. She has been diagnosed with B-cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and cancer of the bone marrow, Stage 4.
Lisa is a loving mother and devoted Nana to my 3 young daughters. She finds her joy in spending her free time with her adoring angels.
For the past 5 years she has worked as an enrolled agent in the tax profession and lives alone in a home that she has owned for approximately 20 years, which still carries a mortgage, as well as all of the living expenses that come with it. As of now, she has not missed too much work, although she has finished her first round of chemo. She also has health insurance now, which helps, but does not cover the
astronomical costs of treatments or medical expenses previously incurred.
Easing Lisa's financial burden at this time is crucial to supporting her treatments and the days of missed work, along with retaining her home in this time of uncertainty.
While I believe that God has a plan for each of us, I hope that you will support US in OUR fight WITH Lisa.
