Lisa's New Leg

Donation protected
Since December 2015, I have been in the hospital at least 18  times; through 9 surgeries.  The most recent surgeries were June 13th, 2018 in which I learned that on June 25th, 2018 my right leg needed to be amputated above the knee.  At first I was devastated, there would be so much I could not do.  But then the more I thought about it, this was  going to be my new start.  I am going to be great, recover quickly and return back to myself.   My request for help has been very hard to ask for.  I have always been someone who will struggle until I complete task at hand.  My  goal is to have my first leg by the end of August; then my beautifully decorated bionic (that is what I am hoping for) by the end of December.  My Cobra insurance ended just as my 9th surgery ended. So I must come up with new deductible and out of pocket and pay for my leg in advance.  I have been  unable to work since August 2016, because of an autoimmune disorder  ITP.  The phantom òpain has just been  so intense and unimaginable.  I can move my whole leg, foot and all.  I can move my toes even though they are now gone.  Most of the time they are just feeling like they are twisted or in a vice being smashed.  I am trying different medicines, meditation and sometimes a TENS machine (delivers a small shock hoping to block signals to the brain). Sometimes these work and sometimes not. I know times are hard, but any thing you could help with would be so appreciated. Please know in advance that your donation would just be greatest help to help me get my new leg sooner. Thank you so very much!
